Sterblue enters the Canadian wind market!

When it comes to making business and pursuing its mission, Sterblue knows no frontiers.  After announcing a new office in Los Angeles, California, in the beginning of 2019, the French startup starts 2020 by taking its first steps in the Eastern Canadian market for wind turbine inspections. How? By establishing two important partnerships with key companies in the region: DroneXperts and East Coast Wind.

Sterblue is a platform for automatic inspection of industrial assets using drones and artificial intelligence. From data capture to data analysis, the company covers the whole inspection process in one streamlined interface. Since 2016, Sterblue software has been used in 15 countries across 4 continents worldwide.

Sterblue’s record of consistent growth granted Geoffrey Vancassel, the CEO, with the necessary confidence to set ambitious goals for Canada.

“In 2019 we had the opportunity to first establish our brand and product in the country, as well as to close important partnerships for the future. Now, in 2020, we aim to inspect over 1000 turbines in Canada alone.” Geoffrey Vancassel, CEO at Sterblue

DroneXperts will be the exclusive partner bringing Sterblue’s software to the air and capturing data on Eastern Canadian turbines

The local company combines the necessary experience, expertise and technology to boost Sterblue’s operations in Canada. Currently, DroneXperts employs 15 pilots spread throughout the region and has inspected more than 1200 wind turbines since 2017.

“We are excited to be part of this partnership with Sterblue and feel as though our ability to provide efficient and safe drone inspections, with locally based pilots, provides a strong value proposition to the Eastern Canadian wind turbine industry” Jonathan Dupont-Champagne, CEO at DroneXperts

As for the back end blade analysis, Sterblue is teaming up with East Coast Wind

The Canadian partner has several years of experience and an unmatched reputation in maintenance services for the wind energy industry. The extensive network of noteworthy clients of East Coast Wind, such as Innergex, Engie and Senvion, will allow Sterblue to better position itself in the region, delivering a fully dedicated and complete service.

The ultimate goal? To help energy and utility companies striving for a cleaner future.

Thanks to the new partnerships, Sterblue will benefit from multiple synergies that will have a direct impact on solving logistical issues and reducing travel costs. This efficiency gain will leave room for Sterblue to focus on constantly developing and improving the product.
